They are found in Angola, Gabon, Ghana, Burundi, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Tanzania, Sudan, Nigeria, Rwanda, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal and Sierra Leone. Bonobo live in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
