Llamas and Alpacas can both be trained. It just depends on you preference
Llamas are considered animals. To get more detailed, llamas are relatives of the alpaca. Of course, in my opinion llamas are better than alpacas.
llamas
I prefer llamas!! :)
Female alpacas and llamas are called "Hembra" and male alpacas or llamas are called "Macho". Alpacas and llamas look similar in the face but are different in size and fur.

they both spit (llamas spit more than alpacas). they are both my favorite animals
In general, llamas are larger than alpacas
Alpacas are warm-blooded
Llamas are mostly closely related to alpacas, vicunas, and guanacos.
Alpacas can and often do live with llamas in captivity. Many people keep at least one llama in with their alpacas to protect them from & warn them of predators, as llamas are more inclined to fight off predators and protect their herd than alpacas.
- Llama are about twice the size of alpacas - Llamas have very coarse outer coat hair that covers a soft inner coat - Alpacas have a very fine, soft single coat - alpacas like to stay in herd - alpacas have straight ears - llamas have curved ears - llamas back is straighter and good for packing
