It all depends on the breed and possibly the colouring and personality.

There are some horses going for free because the owners cannot afford them in this economy and no one will buy it. Most of these horses will not be good ones however.

well igoi mine for $1000 and he i the best but it realy depends whet you what to use him for - it also depends on there age(i would aim for some where between 8-12, u don't whan't to young because they can be a bit sico but not to old coz will be to slow and have problems and thay wont last as long...

a cheep 8 year old good all rounder is anywhere between $1000-$5000 but if u want a jumping horse lets say than the price normally goes up by a bit...

keep loking coz you will find the right horse eventually but be quick coz cheap horses go quick.

You can find some horses for free (although they won't be very good horses more often than not), adopt a horse from a horse rescue center for anywhere from a couple hundred to a few thousand, or buy a well trained, well broke horse for a few thousand. Some competition horses get pretty expensive, tens of thousands.

very healthy...

Breed is not specifically what makes a horse expensive...but even a free horse is

not cheap.
