One very essential part is it's brain. A kangaroo's brain receives signals from other parts of its body, e.g. it's eyes, ears, nose etc., which it analyses and then converts to messages which it sends though its nervous system to its leg muscles, and also to its heart so that it beats faster.

While it is his legs that you see moving, a kangaroo's legs are only the tip of the iceberg, because there are many other parts of its body that are equally important in making his legs move, but which you may not actually be able to see working.
