Call your local animal shelter, vetinary offices and look for an animal rescue organization in your area as possible sources to help place them. Somebody may have called these places looking for your breed of dog and are on a waiting list, hoping to find one.
Also check the newspaper ads, ask your friends, neighbors and relatives plus running a newspaper ad yourself.
A lot of your success will depend on the breed and age of the animal. Placing a Great Dane might be a little more difficult than placing a dachsund.
Don't give up and keep trying. All I ask is that you "check 'em out" before you turn your friends over to someone else, otherwise they could end up in a bad situation with a bad owner, and you'd be none the wiser.

Snakes and DOGS
Two kids lose their dog and run into a thief and cops chase them into a hotel where they ironically find their dog. They find two stray dogs that need help so the brother invents these mechanisms while the sister raids the local pounds to help out the other dogs. Eventually the pounds close and they open their 'Hotel for dogs'

Male dogs can get along, but it depends on their individual personalities and how they are introduced to each other. Proper socialization and training can help improve the chances of two male dogs getting along.
You can but it depends on what type they are. look up what the two dogs are and see if anyone has cross breeded them. i have a chorkie (a Yorkie and a chihuahua) at home
Well, it is not a bad idea. But I don't have any guard dogs in my home. I have done something else for home security. I have installed a videorelay. It works great! I will receive an email with three pictures whenever someone approaches my home when I am away. The video surveillance system installed has a provision of live two-way voice communication. So I could even talk with them while I am at work. It is a great help to me. Dogs are not good in informing you all such details when you are away home. So I think videorelays are much better than dogs in securing a home. I have installed a videorelay of Alarmforce (Location: Mississauga, Ontario)
You need to check with www.hud.gov/local/ar/working/littlerockoffice.cfm for a list of homes.
You can encourage two dogs to mate by keeping them in close proximity to each other. It would also help if they were both in heat.
