Hindus are mere idol worshippers and a superstitious religion that go by what their pandits or preachers tell them. From time immemorial they have been doing superstitious rituals (which have no meaning and logic) like watering the sun, fasting, beating the black dog on saturdays, not eating meat on tuesdays not going out if they sneeze and many other. But they have acheived nothing out of it. In the same way they find cats has superstitious animal which if crosses their way will bring harm to them, so they hate cats. They generally dont like any animals though they worship their Hindu Elephant God Ganesha Monkey God Hanuman but if elephant and monkey comes their way they will hit him too. So they do with cats.
These Hindus do not realize nor have ever tried to understood their holy books like Geeta and Vedas that all creatures on this earth have same soul..its only the physical body that has changed. They cannot understand beyond what their pandits have told them. And I hope they will realize when they become cats in next life. Otherswise they would have loved all living beings. But I am a hindu and I love cats and dogs and I understand the defects of Hindus.
