Why are cats important?

Cats are amazing. They, like dogs or any other pet, can give someone love when they are lonely. They do not have to be walked, but do need lots of play.

They can be calmer then dogs and most cats are very good for children because they won't bite, however dogs that are trained well are also very good with children.

Cats used to be kept as pest catchers on farm and in other households; the cat catches any mice or rats that could seriously harm any stored grain and food stuffs, and in return was fed meat scraps and allowed to live in relative comfort. Even today, there are cats that do this very same role.
