People want giraffes for their meat, fur, and especially tails. The tails are made into good luck bracelets.
Human poaching (illegally hunting) them for their skins, human encroachment of their habitat (building cities/towns), climate change increasingly causing their habitat to be unstable (droughts/floods), and humans harvesting the trees they eat, mainly acacia trees, to make wood products like furniture. The simplest answer is... Giraffes are endangered because of human society and aggression.
