Why are people allergic from cats not dogs?

You are probably actually allergic to cat saliva. because your cat cleans herself by licking her fur, there is dried saliva on her fur. (lovely thought isn't it) it flakes off and you breathe it. your body over reacts to the foreigh substance, and hence your alergy. You may be able to reduce your alergy problems by bathing the cat regularly, then again, depending on the cat, that solution could be worse than the problem.

the allergy is caused by cats solliva, it contains a supplement that some people are immune to and others aren't. this can cause a reaction to people like me, it can make you sneeze, choke, have panic attacks and throw up.

Usally when you are around cats if you are allergic to them, your eyes and nose may start running. Or the main thing is you will begin sneezing. The cats have dander on their skin and have saliva which those 2 things is what causes Allergies.

Some people are alergic to cats because it runs through their genes. Some time later in a persons life... they might lose that allergy symptom. The animal dander just irritates the persons sinuses and cant control it because it runs in the family. If your mom or dad was allergic, then there would be a good chance that you were allergic because on there x chromosomes in the sex cells, it may contain some genetic material for that.

If you get really close to a xcat and you start sneezing or of you get little bumps in your hand and wrist that means that you are allergic.

people i know are more allergic to dogs than cats. if you are allergic to cats, then you definitely are allergic to dogs
