The reason whales die rather quickly when they're stranded on a beach is two things. First, their bones are lightweight and porous, much lighter than the bones of land animals. this is because, in the water, the bones don't have to provide the kind of support that ours do on land, so they've evolved more as places for muscles to attach to than for actual support. On land (away from the buoyant water where gravity isn't a big factor), the whale literally crushes itself under its own weight. Second, they overheat. Most whales are designed to live in cold water, which takes heat out of a body some 20 times faster than air does. Their fat (blubber) insulates them very well in the water. On land, however, they dont have the cooling of the water, and the blubber makes them overheat. Dead whales literally cook inside, since after death the thermoregulatory mechanisms that normally cool the animal are shut down, and decomposition sets in, inside what is essentially a big pressure cooker (the body).
swim.
they swim with their mouths open
Whales' tails move up and down when they swim, just like peoples' legs.
To swim and to progress through water.
Whales are mammals and must breath air. If they cannot reach the surface to breath they will drown.
i think they might hide in a under water cave or maybe there is some coral they like to lay on or under it or a baby blue whales shelter can be its mother he can swim under her
because the japanese need something to eat
Swim and eat and play. Whales are air breathers who swim under water, so they need to surface sometimes to breathe. But some whales can dive to depths of thousands of feet, where there is no light, and they navigate and search for food by sonar rather than by sight.
by using their powerful tail to push them through the water
Whales swim using their fins and tails.
yes whales are safer to swim with because whales don't bite
you can only swim above water
