Why cant my dog lift her hind legs She is 16 years old and this just started a couple of days ago When you assist her to a standing position she stand there for awhile then she can walk?

Your dog is just getting to old. You can't expect a 16 year old dog to act like a puppy and prance around!

i know how you feel, my dog is almost 16 years old and just suffered a stroke a while back - but, she's getting better, almost back to normal like before the stroke - though now she has trouble keeping balence when she tries to play - yeah, 16, just had a stroke, and she STILL prances around trying to catch her tail (ugh) - but in the beginning her strenght was weak, we just helped her get up, kept our hands out if she started to waver, and we helped her through it - just as you can - give her lots of love, sit by her side, stroking her fur, telling her how you love her - PS. this is kinda sad but when my dog had her stroke i would sit hours at her side, petting her, whispering in her ears how much i love her, and i let my tears fall into her fur. Nikki - my neighbors' dog passed away awhi;e back and i loved her, before i left for a party one day when shje was doing really, really bad i let a few tears fall onto her fur - when i came back shepassed away. d
