Cat fangs are delicate and thin. It doesn't take much to break them. A bite on the plastic rod of their string toy; a fight with another cat; a violent shaking of the head/body after the cat has latched onto a captor or prey; an unfortunate collision with a bludgeon/furniture; pulling something like a can edge or something hard out of the cats mouth when they're clinging to it. The list goes on.
