Akitas make noises for various reasons, including communication and expressing their emotions. They may bark, growl, or whine to alert their owners, seek attention, or indicate excitement or discomfort. Additionally, some Akitas may "talk" or make unique vocalizations as a way to engage with their owners or other pets. Understanding these sounds can help owners better respond to their dog's needs.

The akita can outrun an adult lion...... I don't know about the preceding point but it seems highly unlikely, my Akita can outrun any human (obviously!) but compared to other dogs is probably one of the slower breeds; heavy muscle and bone does not a fast dog make. My friend owns a deer hound and a lurcher and my sister owns a mini-spitz, all 3 make my Akita look very slow indeed.
