Felines have always been getting into things ever since they learn to see, walk, and bat things with their paws. Sometimes, this can get VERY annoying. The cat, of course, means no harm whatsoever, and of course, it's pretty darn cute. Cats from ages 0 to 21 love to play games; They pretend the object -- Mostly writing utensils -- is prey, and they attack it, bite it, claw it, and just kangaroo kick it until it's pooped out. If this obsession with pens and pencils is annoying you, I suggest getting a scratching post or something!
Its not the pencils and pens themselves, its the motion. When you write with a pencil or pen, the motion attracts the cat's attention and it wants to play. Obviously as you are wiggling the pencil or pen YOU are signalling the cat that you want to play, which makes the cat even happier... and that much harder for you to write...

bibliomania is an obsession of books
I have no idea! but if you ask Harry Styles he might know. He has an obsession with cats <3 and if the population is very low, then its probably because of him.
No, fountain pens are not gel pens. Gel pens are really a variation on Ballpoints and Roller ball Pens. Fountain pens retain the same nib and when they run out of ink you add more.
