I am not sure what you mean by shiver. Is it something unnatural and caused by illness--Or is it the little tooth shiverer. The tooth shiver opening and closing the jaw very Little and very fast-to me has always meant the dog is happy beyond words. My dog will do that when I sit on the floor and pat her rub her ears. I feel it is a doggy grin.
Most carnivores that kill with jaws shake their heads violently whilst doing so. The jaws inflict far greater damage that way.
