Why do dogs lick other dogs ears?

Dogs will bite one another for a variety of reasons. It could be aggression triggered by possessiveness over a toy, food, space, or other object of value. Aggression can also be triggered by fear, a clash of dominate personalities, or a disagreement over position in the "pack." Aggression between dogs of the same gender is common. However, biting doesn't always mean aggression. Dogs will often mouth or bite one another in play, just like kids will grab or tackle one another. As longs as the dogs aren't hurting one another, it is nothing to worry about. If they are, find out what is triggering the biting and contact a dog trainer or behaviorist.

One consideration for this can be a yeast or fungus. Although humans do not want to eat yeast/fungus, dogs think they are yummy. Dog ear canals are shaped in a way that can trap fungus and yeast, and because many of them have hair in their ears and/or floppy ears, the ear canal becomes a dark, warm, and sometimes moist environment... perfect for yeast and fungus to grow. Your vet can take a swab of your dog's ear and test it for yeast or fungus.

Sometimes though others do it a giving them a hug: so instead of wrapping there arms aroung each other they lick there ears fo a hug.

Like monkey's groom family, dogs will groom each other in a pack. This generally will occur with dogs to a pack and not visitors.

Because their ears get dirty and start to cause them pain it also makes the dogs stink its called Chancre ear it can even make the dogs sick.

Wash their ears when you are bathing them but only with a wet rag no soap.
