Guinea pigs are prey animals and have no actual defenses aside from hiding and freezing. Eyesight doesn't do much if a predator is stalking the prey. Guinea pigs have great hearing and an excellent sense of smell - both of these senses do much more in helping a prey animal detect a threat.

Yes any type of pine is extremely bad for all rodents, it can cause eye problems and upper respertory infections. Most guinea pigs die from upper resperatory infections. So pine is really bad for them

guinea pigs are just allot of time and money for what they are. they are not considered bad but I recommend a dog, cat pig or turtle! also a great pet is a pet rock (be sure to try it!) guinea pigs are not that bad but remember rock you don't have to pay for or feed so try it!!!!
this isn't random and yes most guinea pigs actually do this...they do it as a sign of affection towards each other and to clean any watery build up on the eyes
Guinea pigs sometimes get small bits of hay in their eyes and this is not harmful unless the hay is stuck in the corner of the eye. Larger pieces of hay could hurt the guinea pigs eye.
