In most industrialised nations the days of using horses for transportation are long gone. But in many other places around the world horses are still used as they have been for thousands of years. The interesting thing is, in America at least, there are now far more horses than in previous centuries. Although, machines have taken the place of horses in the work world, it seems that people can't live without these beautiful animals. Lucky us!
