Why wouldn't they have dogs??? Why do regular people have dogs? Many people say dog is mans best friend in their time of need. When we are stressed, doesn't our dog help? Mine does. When the presidents get stressed, they turn to their dog. Dogs are there for love, help (sometimes) and companionship.
Yes, most of our presidents have had a dog throughout the years.
Yes, quite a few US presidents had dogs while in office. See the link below for a rundown of White House "pets."
President Obama's dog's name is bo.
Dogs 101 - 2008 All the Presidents' Pets 1-10 was released on: USA: 4 July 2009

Um - there is NOTHING in the US Constitution about Presidents having a dog. The Constitution does state that the President has a Vice President (who some of the presidents treated like dogs).
Many U.S. presidents have had pets during their time in office, with the number varying depending on how one counts animals. Notably, Franklin D. Roosevelt had a wide variety of pets, including a dog named Fala, while John F. Kennedy is known for having a number of animals, including dogs and a canary. Overall, at least 30 presidents have had pets, ranging from dogs and cats to more exotic animals like horses and birds.
No, there are no presidents or vice presidents from Colorado.
There is nothing saying that they should or shouldn't. It's all about what they like so if they don't like dogs or they love them it's completely up to them. I think everyone should have the right to own a dog though, they're so awesome!
Messrs presidents
The presidents either died or resigned, and their vice presidents took office, or the vice presidents were elected on their own.
