Pugs often have dental issues due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, which can lead to overcrowded teeth and misalignment. Their small mouths may not provide enough space for proper tooth development, increasing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay. Additionally, pugs are prone to plaque buildup, which can exacerbate dental problems if not regularly managed through proper dental care. Regular veterinary check-ups and at-home dental hygiene can help mitigate these issues.

Overbites, where the bottom teeth stick out further than the top teeth, can occur in any breed of dog, although it may be more common in brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs or Pugs due to their facial structure. Dental issues can also cause the appearance of teeth sticking out.
Absolutely. The pain from a bad tooth can give you a very bad headache. So can clenching or grinding your teeth.
