A lot of people don't know that horses can have different colored eyes than the basic brown. In horses that have a lot of white markings, (Paints, QH, pintos, ect) especially on the face the eyes can be blue, although some horses have little or no white on the face and still have blue eyes. There are some horses that have amber-colored eyes. These are sometimes refered to as "tiger eyes". The cause for these different eye colors are in the horse's genes. If the parents have these color eyes they can pass it on to their offspring. They still can see just as well as if they had brown eyes. On some horses that have all white faces (bald/apron) some owners will have pigment permanently tatooed on the horse's eyelids, hopefully to deflect some of the sun's rays and reduce sun damage to pink skin and blue eyes.
Answer2:
As stated above blue eye are caused by genetics and the possibility of white facial markings. It should be noted that true white horses typically have brown eyes, while cremellos, and perlinos will have blue eye as part of the double dilution gene.

No. it is the same thing as people with different color eyes. Many white huskies have blue eyes, and are not deaf. Some may have blue eyes and be deaf, but the eye color is not because the dog is deaf, and same with the other way around.
Blue eyes come with some white cats, and cats with points like Siamese and Ragdoll. They also sometimes come with the silvering gene, which makes silver tabbies. Blue eyes are rare in cats of other colours. White cats with blue eyes are prone to deafness; not all of them, but many of them.
Eyes that appear blue or green have lower amounts of pigment in the iris than darker colored eyes, just as fairer skin has less pigment than darker skin. Pigment in the eyes and skin often correlate. Blue eyes are rarely seen outside of the Caucasian race; usually, if a person has blue eyes, he or she also has a pale complexion.
Siberian Huskies don't have to be mixed to have blue eyes, some huskies have blue eyes. Not, just huskies some other breeds of dogs also have blue eyes.

No, not all blue eyed cats are deaf. If any any are then it is usually a condition brought about by some defect within the cats ears at birth. There is a more likelihood of an albino cat being born deaf. It doesn't mean having blue eyes makes you deaf.
