They have rolls/wrinkles on their face because back when bulldogs used to bait bulls the wrinkles kept the blood (from the bull's nose) from running into their eyes, nose, and mouth. It also is because they do not have a snout, although some still have wrinkles when they have a small snout.

They shed a lot. You also have to clean their wrinkles and get their toenails clipped.
Pugs have wrinkles because that is their sign of what breed they are. Just like sharpeis, pugs have wrinkles to control body temperature. Just because they have folds of loose skin doesnt mean they are underweight. The fatter the pug the more health problems they have.
Pug wrinkles should be cleaned regularly to prevent infections and discomfort. It’s generally recommended to clean their wrinkles once a week, but this can vary based on your pug's specific needs. If you notice any signs of irritation, odor, or redness, you might need to clean them more frequently. Always use a gentle, pet-safe cleanser and dry the area thoroughly to avoid moisture buildup, which can lead to infections.

I sure think so, I have a rare asthma condition were I'm allergic to 75% of everything. I have a pug right now and have never had any problems with it. So yes I think if you have allergies you don't have anything to worry about if you get a pug the only thing I'd worry about is the loose hair, but lint rollers easily pick up short pug fur.
