On the same basis as for the human body, catnip is like cocaine, just for cats. It contains a chemical which not only attratcs domestic cats, but also large cats such as several species of tiger, and sometimes lions. Scientists at university in England and Japan are working on deciding which chemical it is in the substance which actually makes cats do certain stuff, and will probably have the answers by later this year.
Cat nip is just a type of grass that appeals to cats! You can purchase the actual plant in Gardening sections of stores. The more common kind of cat nip is dried out and packaged. Cat nip is not bad for cats, that I know of! Hope your cats enjoy it!
Catnip is a plant; an herb, to be exact. It's in the mint family. Most cats will go crazy over any type of mint, including catnip!
by giving them a nos! NO just joking! give them cat nip! ;)
Alot of people use cat nip to bribe their cats or lure them somewhere. I have a cat that loves cat nip and it usually works when you have ALOT of it. You can buy them at Walmart's, Target, Petsmart, and many others. I hope this helped :)
catnip is sometimes used for the stuffing in cat toys so they play with them more. people spray them on scrathing posts so cats scratch on them.they put them in cat beds so they sleep there more often. the cats are hugely attracted to the scent.
Cats may nip your face as a way to communicate their feelings, such as seeking attention, playfulness, or asserting dominance. It could also be a sign of affection or a way for them to groom you, as they would with other cats.
there is no caterpillars that eat cat nip, all caterpillars will see what it is by taking a nibble but no caterpillar eats cat nip
Cat nip.... its a very rare type of cat often found is south east asia. They originally decended from the bob cats. They have sense then became smaller and have spots. I hope this helped.
put it in its food or treat.
Type your cat nip
Catnip is a type of mint and rubbing or sniffing catnip gives them a sort of high (it is not dangerous though). It is not really known why it effects cats in the way it does, but it is due to a chemical called Nepetalactone that is released from the plant when a cat rubs, chews or otherwise "bruises" the leaves. There is speculation that it may mimic a cat pheromone, but this has yet to be proven.
Only when thier owners are in pain or in a bad mood will cats rub on you and kneed. If you crie watch your cat and she/he will jumpin your lap. the body language of a cat will tell you the cat is there for you. somthimes cats will show you the answers to questions.
