Why does your dog kiss you so much?

A bird's courtship can include intricate songs or even elaborate dances. You may think they may be kissing each other. They could just be regurgitating food and giving each other the food. However, this can still be considered part of the mating display.

It is an expression of submission, not exactly love, but to a dog a dominant owner and a submissive dog is what we persieve as love. Also dogs persieve human kisses as a show of dominance!

So if your dog licks you, and you kiss your dog, that is the love relationship!
