if u have a big dog, it is because they have lots of muscle in their legs, but if they are overweight, then they do not go as fast, but if you are talking about a small dog, it is because they do not weigh that much and can move faster because that do not have to lug around so much weight.

If it's like diarrhea, then:

A) It is eating something it shouldn't be that isn't agreeing with it

B) It's Large Intestine isn't working right b/c it isn't extracting the moisture

C) It has a stomach bug that is messing with the digestive track

If the problem continues, take your dog to a vet.

Usually, although it varies from case to case, a dog may run off because it is feeling depressed, or mistreated by it's owner.

However, a much more common cause is a dog is slightly eccentric, and does not realise what happens when it runs off.

Your dog may need more excercise. Try playing with it more. It will be much calmer if it is tired out and in good shape, not bored.
