At 10 weeks old, your Bichon Frise may be experiencing shedding as part of their natural development. Puppies often shed their soft, baby fur to make way for their adult coat, which can happen at various stages. Additionally, factors like changes in diet, environment, or stress can contribute to increased shedding. If you're concerned about the amount of shedding, consult your veterinarian for further guidance.
My bichon frise's mother had my dog at 2 years old, so bichon frise's can have puppies at 2 years old :-)
my bichon frise is 8 weeks old and the tail already curls and plumes my little man will be a year old, i have had him since he was 10 weeks old and he has always had the adorable pom pom, curly tail. Although his mother and some of his siblings did not have one as poofy and cute as his.

Me and my family feed our bichon frise with 'Cesar Chicken And Turkey' dog food. We have to mash it up in her bowl, but that is only for dogs who are not puppies- past 2 years old, I would say. Do NOT feed your bichon frise human food, if the sensitive stomach is colitis. That's what our beloved pet has, and she is one of the healthiest dogs her groomer and vet has seen! :)
At 4 months old, a bichon frise puppy will still be small but likely have a fluffy white coat. They will have a playful and energetic demeanor and will be developing their distinct bichon frise features such as their expressive eyes and curly tail. This stage is an important time for socialization and training.

They do not shed, which is wonderful. However, you have to brush them on a daily basis or their hair will mat. They have curly white to apricot colored hair that is soft. They range from 7-15 pounds in weight. The Bichon Frise usually lives to at least 18 years in age, so they will be around with you for a long time. The Bichon Frise is a house dog. They require little exercise. Running around the house and playing tug-of-war often suffice. However, they are always up for a walk. The Bichon Frise breed tends to have bad knees and develop cataracts. I have a Bichon Frise that is 13 years old. She has bad knees, but still moves around quite well. In fact, most people think she is a puppy because she is small and perky. She has had knee surgery in the past.
The old mascot for Snuggle fabric softener was a Bichon Frise breed of dog.
My belief is that you should probably put the bichon to sleep. Its not fair for the bichon to live like this with cancer. She is old already and its not fair for er to live like that
A Bichon Frise can be a good match for an 11-year-old as they are generally friendly, affectionate, and playful. However, it's important to consider the energy levels and needs of the dog, as well as the child's ability to handle responsibilities like grooming and exercise. Proper supervision and training are crucial to ensure a good relationship between the child and the dog.
