Yes...they are endangered because of their tusks! Their tusks are made of ivory(more valuble than gold) so hunters hunt them. They are also endengered because the Natives eat them for their meat
The walrus has been listed as data deficient, meaning there is not enough current info to rate them otherwise. The population declined for several years, and is now making a nice comeback. But it is not endangered.
