They are deaf. Most white cats with blue eyes are deaf.
No in most breeds white cats with blue eyes are deaf but with Turkish Angola cats are not deaf with a white coat and blue eyes.
This is not strictly true. White cats with blue eyes have an increased chance of being deaf due to their genetics. Not every white cat with blue eyes will be deaf, and white cats with other coloured eyes have very little chance of being deaf.
No they are not.
deaf
Blue eyes come with some white cats, and cats with points like Siamese and Ragdoll. They also sometimes come with the silvering gene, which makes silver tabbies. Blue eyes are rare in cats of other colours. White cats with blue eyes are prone to deafness; not all of them, but many of them.
Cats that are white with blue eyes have the pleiotropic effect of having impaired hearing due to a gene associated with the white coloration also affecting the development of the inner ear. This condition is known as congenital deafness and is more common in cats with blue eyes.
