Since breathing problems can be caused by serious illness, your pug needs to be seen by a vet immediately! This is especially the case of very young or old dogs. There are a lot of things that can cause this, and only your vet can diagnose and treat the cause. As a pug owner myself, I strongly urge you to contact your vet or an after hours clinic immediately! Many after hour clinics will even give you advice by phone and not charge for it, which could help you if money is a factor in keeping you from taking it to a vet.
