One reason may be that the dog has worms. They itch and the dog drags his/her rear to scratch the itch. My dog does this even though she doesn't have worms. (I know she doesn't because she was given a wormer recently.) I wonder if she does it just to wipe herself or scratch herself. Not sure if there are other reasons besides worms. Anyone else?
