This has actually happened to me. There are some things you want to check.
My absolute best advice is to check with a dealer, but run over these things first so you don't go running to them with a simple problem.
Turn your blades off.
If John Deere mower blades won't engage, it could be due to several issues. Common reasons include a faulty electrical connection, a blown fuse, or a malfunctioning safety switch that prevents the blades from engaging. Additionally, a worn or damaged belt that connects the engine to the blades may be the culprit. Checking these components can help diagnose and resolve the issue.
if you are sitting in the seat and looking down at the deck the blades will or should be turning clockwise, although in this position you cannot actually see the blades. pay attention when installing the blades not to turn them upside down. the cutting edge should be turninh clockwise on all blades.
Yes
The nut that holds the blades on a John Deere LA105 riding lawn mower typically requires a 1/2-inch socket for removal. However, it's always a good idea to refer to the owner's manual for the specific model to confirm the exact size, as variations can occur.
The STX-38 should have an electric clutch for the mower deck. The switch to engage it is on the right rear fender. It is a toggle switch. You will have to pull up on the switch and forward to engage the blades.
The regular deck on a 325 is 48" with three blades (You can only buy blades in sets of three from John Deere.) The standard blade is 16.6 inches in length.
There's a yellow switch in the upper right hand portion of the dash. It's the PTO drive. Engage your clutch, pull up on the switch and move it forward, and that should start the blades spinning. If it fails to engage, it could be a bad switch or a bad battery.
Yes, you don't need to do anything but remove the old ones and put the new blades on.
There is a nice Yellow Knob on the right hand side of steering wheel when you pull it out your PTO(Power Take Off) part that makes blades engage when hooked up right. To shut blades off just push know back in. Hopefully that helps and good luck with the mower. I have had mine 10 years it has never once had an issue.
when I try to engage gears of mower blades, the engine dies under the load. Read wheels also lock when fowrad and rear gears are engaged.
