There are several reasons for this. Most likely, the gelding was gelded late. This means that he would have the characteristics of a stallion, and possibly the mannerisms (mounting etc.). This could occur if the gelding has been gelded a few days ago, and not a few weeks. It takes about 3 weeks for the testosterone to flush out of his system after he's been castrated. Another possibility is that when he was castrated, the person doing the castrating didn't take out the spermatic sac that is above the testes, which would cause the gelding to act more like a stag or a stallion than a real gelding.
A stallion donkey is called a Jack. A jack will try to breed a mare, but the mare may not let him cover her, even if she is in season (ovulating).
It appears that your gelding is overly aggresive towards your mare. She is worried being near him. What makes me think this is that she will calm down, but the gelding pinning his ears gets her worked up again. So, try getting her with another horse and see if thigs get better.
There are special show classes for miniature ponies, you could see if you can enter him/her in a best groomed show or best mare (or stallion or gelding) or try teach him tricks or in hand hunter or jumper or driving or costume or obstacle or trail classes and showmanship. Hope this helped :)
it's about her, she is bigger and stronger than bull, if she didn't like one sincle kick from her could kill bull. you are talking about small bull (380lbs) and belgian mare (1900lbs), it isn't gonna match, she brobably just kick crap out of bull
You could try Mare Tranquillitatis
My colts will try to mate with the fence, goats, even me. It is what they do. Gelding time is here!
try puting food out for your older mare and then putting food on the otherside of your pasture for your other mare
no probably not. You do realise geldings can't have foals... They are castrated males.
In general, mares are not neutered. If they are neutered for population control or health reasons, they are still called a mare.A fixed female horse is still called a mare, in general female horses are not fixed unless you are trying to keep the population down.Female horses are rarely fixed to control breeding as it isn't a simple operation and cost a lot of money. Mares that can be very aggressive or have personality changes due to their seasons are usually put on hormone treatments or have a marble inserted to try and stop them ovulating.
The best place to try would be on Ebay Auctions
a rig is a gelding that thinks he is a stallion, normally this is because the gelding is cut later than normal, a rig will often try to mount mares and sometimes will be very vicious towards other male horses.
The places to purchase a TV tilt wall mount are many and varied. The best place to start would be Amazon. If you are on a tight budget, a good place to try would be eBay.
