Why would your kitty pee on the bed while she was sleeping?

It has a death wish? My guess is that it did it once and the scent remains. The scent of urine will prompt the cat to return. The scent will remain unless the clothes are laundered well. There are scent removers that you can find at the pet store and at some grocery stores.

They either

1) have an infection

or

2) are making their territory and need to be spayed or neutered

Either way, it's time for the cat(s) in question to have a trip to the vet.

The most common reason cats urinate or defecate in inappropriate places is that they are territorially insecure and are trying to "mark territory" in the house as theirs. Such insecurities often happen when a new cat is added to the household and they have trouble dividing the space between them. Either the new cat or the existing cat can develop this problem depending on the personalities and level of aggressiveness of each cat. Usually this behaviour will stop if they can be made more secure that they own certain parts of the house.
