Stop trying to save money and get your pet to the vet!!! If one can't afford vet bills then they shouldn't own a pet. It's obvious your pet is telling you something by limping on all 3 legs so please have your vet diagnose the cause. It's possible it could be nerve damage or hip dysplasia.
my male boerboel pup is around 40 pounds at 3 months old
A Boerboel typically goes into heat, or estrus, for about 2 to 3 weeks. This cycle occurs approximately twice a year. During this time, signs such as swelling of the vulva and behavioral changes may be observed. It's important for owners to monitor their dogs closely during this period.

I would say, "No" because they use all of their legs as legs to walk on. They don't use 3 legs to pick things up and move thing. So all their legs are legs.
A man (2 legs) sat on three legs (a 3 legged stool), 4 legs (dog) jumped on 2 legs (man), 2 legs (man) got mad and threw 3 legs (stool) at 4 legs (dog). There are many variations of this.
Yes. (3 legs)/(stool) * (6 stools) = 3 * 6 * legs = 18 legs.
Normally about 2-3 weeks but sometimes up to 5 months
You should make sure that the dog rests its leg and you should watch the leg for 1-3 days and if the dog keeps limping you should take it to the vet.
