Yes they will. It depends on the initial meeting. The initial meeting is important, so you'll need to prepare to improve your chances of success.
I believe they will. These breeds are both friendly.
When I got my border collie, my golden retriever was already 1 year old. At first, my border collie was really laid back (but she was only 6 weeks) and my golden retriever wasn't hurting her, but he was really wanting to play with her. Now, she is 5 months old, and she is trying to be the domanite dog. They get along great, but she sometimes thinks she can tackle the golden retriever. They are both very hyper and they have a great friendship!
To correct the border Collie over her behavior, you need more time wit it, treat her well and show her care.
I think a German Shepard would get along best with a collie.
In my experience, it all depends on how old the dog is. If the Border Collie is older, it will try to fight (playfully) with the younger dog to display its dominance. this could become a habit after a while and if the other dog grows up to be large, your dog may get hurt. If the Border Collie is younger, it will try to fight up to gain dominance. but with proper training, you can get them to get along. This would not fix the situation of the other dog if it is younger because it would have the influence of the ever persistent Border Collie to keep it "fighting". Hope this helps!
It all depends. Sometimes they do and sometimes they do not. But maybe it's best if they are not the same gender, just to be safe. Hope i helped!
no
Considering you want to leave your HYPERACTIVE BORDER COLLIE alone for so long, they need to burn off all that energy that you as an owner kept pent up. If you leave them that long (with out being boarded or where somone can take care of them) then you have to run, walk, jog, play and do everything you can when you come home to burn off that HYPERACTIVE BORDER COLLIE's hyperactiveness! Never leave your dog along for days at a time, only hours.
Yes, very good(had one once, great dog)Its very rare for a border collie to be a watchdog because they have a fun personality and get along with anyone.
not you
Any dog should be compatible with a Collie if both are well-trained, de-sexed, and have nothing to fight about. There's no reason why they should not get along.
A Dalmatian mixed with an English Setter may have a spotted coat like a Dalmatian but with longer fur and feathering on the ears like an English Setter. They may also inherit the floppy ears and gentle expression of the English Setter, along with the energetic and friendly nature of both breeds.
Border collies are so smart because it runs through there blood they just naturally are probably because they are quick learners and love to work its true. my border collie learnt how to sit in an hour he new almost all tricks by 12 weeks.
