of course! as long as the dog isn't squirmy, a westie is generally only 20-30 lb's and can easily be picked up with 2 hands! (easier then a beagle, but not as easy as a yorkie)
Considering other names for dogs, Westie is perfectly legitimate.
You Lie Like a Dog - 2000 Crisse the Westie was released on: USA: 2000
You feed a westie by giving him dog food two or three times a day. If the westie is a puppy you give puppy food. If your westie is not eating the food she/he might be picky and you can talk to his vet to see.
westie
Well it really depends on the Westie's personality. It would probably be easier if your westie was a female, because males are more stubborn. At the beginning, I suggest you separate them. Maybe put the new cat in a cage. Let the dog walk around the cage and smell the cat. If he starts to scratch the cage the cat, do not panic. My westie does that a lot to my rabbits. After about 1 or 2 weeks, carry the cat and stand in front of the dog. Do that everyday for about 5 days. The dog will get curious about the cat. But no matter what he does, ignore him. After he stops bothering you whenever you carry the cat, put the cat on the floor with the dog, and hold the cat. This makes it easy for you to carry the cat away if the dog starts to attack. Once time passes and the 2 animals learn to get along, you can let them socialise with each other. However, they may fight once in a while, especially since westies are very possessive of their owners. I know, because my dog always "seeks revenge" on my rabbits after every time I carry them and change their water and food etc.
She'll be fine.
