HA! It may or may not depending on if the oil got onto the skin. I had my dog sprayed and all I did was put some dish soap on it, let it soak in for about 5 minutes and then brought him into the shower with me and used human shampoo. Worked great! BTW had to use the shampoo twice and he is a black lab in case your wondering the size. Good Luck!

Not shaving, will cause a stink to stay around. But just clean it often with a little bit of soap and water. Shaving will help reduce the smell.
well this is one reason not how to get rid of skunk odor: tomato juice ( unless you want to ). you only think it works because when you smell it up close you can't smell the odor of the skunk anymore. but i think to get rid of skunk odor is to take a bath in SOAP! and LOTS of it!
Skunk quill is pure oil from a skunk farm, quite expensive, but there are artificial options as well.
