it really depends... if it is a big dog with a powerful bite it might be able to... or the dog might have big teeth... the only change they stand if ethey can get it by the neck (suitable dogs include, German Shepard, doberman pincher, husky, black lab maybe, pitbull only because if its power and big teeth with a strong jaw maybe, boxer maybe)
Why would anyone jab a raccoon dog? The raccoon dog is a species of wild dog that resembles a raccoon and lives in parts of Asia.
Yes, it is very possible. A raccoon can kill and eat a small dog very easily. There is a higher chance of the raccoon killing the dog if it is starving, and how aggressive the dog is. This is also very serious because if the raccoon has rabies and bights the dog intending to kill it, but doesn't, then the small dog will probably have to be put down or die anyway from diseases etc. So, basically, it's a good idea to keep your small dogs away from raccoons to be on the safe side.
Many things could have. A dog, fox, bird of prey, raccoon or disturbed teenager may be the culprit.
In the book "Where the Red Fern Grows," a raccoon uses the trick of doubling back on its own trail to confuse the dog following it. By doing this, the raccoon is able to evade the dog and make its escape.
Larger dogs would probably come out on top and kill a raccoon. However, in the process, the dog would probably suffer some serious bites. In the wild raccoons do not normally attack dogs and prefer to avoid them.
