Would a pit bull be able to beat a raccoon in a fight?

I would say probably no just because pit bulls are not meant for fighting.

i would say this guy is on crack b/c pits are meant 4 fighting that's y they beat them n make them fight im not sayin that is right to do but the pit would win no problem

In response to this answer....yes, a pitbull can beat and kill a raccoon. Our 2 year old female (who just delivered puppies a month ago) killed one tonight in only a matter of minutes. It was the most horrific thing to watch. We tried everything to get her off the poor raccoon, but once she locked there was NOTHING we could do to stop her. We hosed her with water, we hit her with a broom handle, we tried wedging a board between her and the raccoon, we even called the police who were more than willing to taze her if need be. In the end we had to just stand back and watch her finish what she started. I know she was just protecting her babies, but what if she felt threatened by a person or a child...??? I truly have no idea what to do at this point.
