There are a variety of situations that would have caused this outcome.

1. The female dog was unsupervised while in heat (this is a 3 week long process) and had a multiple sire litter. This is possible to have with dogs. They are still fertile after they are bred and so another dog could have bred with her.

2. One or both are not an AKC Boxer. This is the only guarantee that they are pure boxer. They may look one way but a parent, grand or great parent may have well been a hound. So this will always contribute to the genetics of this dog(s).
