To walk the board and stand up properly during a Surfing lesson, start by lying on your stomach on the board. When you feel a wave approaching, paddle with your arms to catch it. As the wave lifts you up, place your hands on the board and push yourself up into a crouching position. Then, step one foot forward and then the other, keeping your knees bent and your weight centered. Stand up slowly and maintain your balance by keeping your arms out to the sides. Practice this technique to improve your surfing skills.

A lesson plan outlines the structure and content of a lesson, including objectives, activities, and resources. A lesson note is a record of what occurred during a lesson, including observations, student responses, and areas for improvement. The lesson plan is prepared before the lesson, while the lesson note is written after the lesson.
Private surfing lessons are available at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon for $165 per lesson (about 3 or 4 hours depending on the waves). You don't have to pay park admission to partake in the lessons but you must provide all your own equipment.
