Project work is all the work and only the work which is in the scope statement/ SOW. A (SOW) is a formal document that captures and defines the work activities, deliverables and timeline a vendor will execute against in performance of specified work for a client. Detailed requirements and pricing are usually included in the Statement Of Work, along with standard regulatory and governance terms and conditions.

Whereas non project work is not required for successfull completion of the project and it increases the cost, time and increases the risk for project completion.

Well, friend, project work is like painting a beautiful landscape where you have a specific goal, timeline, and resources allocated to create something unique. Non-project work, on the other hand, is more like tending to a garden where you have ongoing tasks that don't necessarily have a clear start or end date. Both are important in their own way, just like how every brushstroke adds to the beauty of a painting.
