CPM stands for Critical Path Method and it is a method to create Schedules for Projects
One commonly used project management technique to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget is the Critical Path Method (CPM).
Some alternatives to using Kanban for project management include Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, and Critical Path Method (CPM). Each of these methodologies has its own unique approach to organizing and managing projects.

The Gulf Council of Project Management (GCPM) offers various certifications, including the CPM Certificate. However, as of my last knowledge update in October 2023, the accreditation status of GCPM certifications may vary and is not universally recognized like those from established organizations such as PMI or APM. It’s essential to verify the specific accreditation details directly from GCPM or through relevant professional bodies for the most accurate and updated information.
Gantt chart is a tool which is useful in scheduling the various activities of a project in the form of horizontal bar graph where as CPM provides a graphical view and network of events and activities in chronological manner.

CPM is an acronym fro Critical Path Method. In planning a project the length of each task is estimate and the order that tasks must be done in are established. Once this is done then assume a non-simple project, there will be several tasks that can be done concurrently. The path through the project that takes the longer time is the critical path. You can always reference PERT chart for more information.
A PERT CPM network should primarily serve as a tool for understanding reports and schedules, as it visually represents project tasks, their dependencies, and timelines. By using the network to clarify and analyze project data, stakeholders can effectively manage resources and identify critical paths. Conversely, reports and schedules should be derived from the insights provided by the PERT CPM network, ensuring that they accurately reflect project progress and timelines. This approach enhances decision-making and project control.
