Project charters are useful in project management because they provide a clear outline of project goals, scope, stakeholders, and resources. They help establish a common understanding among team members and stakeholders, set expectations, and serve as a reference point throughout the project to ensure alignment with the project's objectives.
They provide information regarding the overall budget, schedule, and keys players. Apex bro im sorry that was 5 yrs ago
In most cases a project manager is assigned at the stage when the project charter is being prepared for a project. It would be nice to have the project manager involve in the project from the early going itself so that he/she can have a great understanding of the project. The project charter provides the project manager with the authority to use organizational resources to run the project. Remember that formally speaking, project charters are prepared external to project management by an individual or a committee in the organization. In other words, the actual project management starts from where the project charter ends. But practically speaking, the project manager who is going to manage this project might actually be involved in writing the project charter. The project approval and funding will still be external to the project management boundaries.
There are a few bodies providing project management examinations. The most recognised providers are: PMI (Project Management Institute) APM (Association of Project Management, UK based body) OGC (Office of Government Commerce) Qualifications from PMI and APM include general practitioner certifications covering a broad range of Project Management skills. The OGC commissioned PRINCE2 is a certification in a project management methodology and I would argue less useful than PMI and APM qualifications.
Courses in project management in the United States can be found attended at The Project Management Institute. This school teaches individuals the basics of project management.
Yes. The PMI (Project Management Institute) is the premier institute that determines Project Management processes and methodologies.

Well, as I have used the most important methodologies in project management those are; Scrum, Agile, Lean, PMI/PMBOK, Kanban, Waterfall etc. These are too useful for a project management work. I got to know this from tryScrum where I have done the full scrum master course. So I must suggest all for doing such amazing course for a better project work.
