It's called jealousy and it is a normal feeling, many people experience it. But think about the good things that "you" have" that they might not have. Maybe they are jealous of you, something to think about isn't it.

Generally speaking, when your 'gut feeling' says something is up it usually is so pay attention. This is more of a survival mode a human goes into. Be careful, weigh the situation well when it comes to relationships because you could be second-guessing. Confronting the person is a better way to handle things. If you were out on a first date and the guy was coming onto you or wanted to go to another out of the way place and your gut feeling is telling you no, then don't go! Your gut instincts are generally right.

I think harassment happens because the inflictors need to feel power by making someone feel uncomfortable. Also, I think that they might be feeling uncomfortable themselves and they want to feel that they are not alone in feeling that way. By making someone else feel uncomfortable about the same thing as themself, they feel like they have a friend.
