Sometimes it's nearly impossible if it's a family member, neighbor or co-worker. If someone is really pushing your boundaries, you will just have to tell them you are a very private person , and there are lines no one is welcome to cross unless invited. No doubt some of these people will be hurt, offended or ticked off. Tell them you regret having to cause them any consternation, but that's just how you are . Period. If they persist after being told this, just remind them you already told them you have privacy issues . No other reasons or apologies are necessary.
