Opinion 1: If men disrespect you, it is a sign of affection. The only reason other men disrespect you, is because they are testing you. Deep down inside they hope you stick up for yourself and put them in their place. Men who disrespect others are secretly searching for leaders. If you walk away from men who disrespect you, you will forever feel like a failure and you will miss your opportunity to win these guys over. Confront them, fight them if you need to, but don't ignore them. Even if they beat you up, at least they will know you are not a wimp. They will then accept you as a player, even if it is at the bottom of the totem pole. At least you are on it. If you call their bluff and show them that you won't put up with disrespect, then they will yield to you. A real man is expected to throw his weight around a bit, push peoples buttons, find their limits and must determine who fits in where in the hierarchy of power.
Opinion 2: Don't have anything to do with men who don't show you respect. If you have to, for work or other reasons, let them know that you expect it. If you are unable to do that, consider looking into your self-esteem issues via counseling or some group support.
