There isn't exactly a word for either. Instead of hello you say 'kemon acho' (how are you) 'salaam alekum' (Arabic for something like god bless you). The 'e' in kemon acho is like dad, the 'o's are like in horse, and the 'a' is like la as in do re mi fa so la ti do. I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce 'salaam alekum' because I am not familiar with Arabic.
