The palace can accommodate up to 600 sit-down meals per event. Each year over 50,000 people are invited to the palace for lunch, dinner, banquets, and parties.
It was about 1,900 who attended the actual wedding in Westminster Abbey. About 600 attended the reception at Buckingham Palace, and about half that amount later for the formal dinner, hosted by Prince Charles.
Over 800 members of staff are based at Buckingham Palace
The Buckingham Palace was originally a house called Buckingham House. It was expanded into a palace in 1826 by King George the fourth. The Buckingham Palace was remodeled several times, so the exact amount of people who worked on the palace is unknown.
