It's pronounced the same either way: "moh[n] nah-mee". The letters on make a nasal vowel similar to the o in the English word only. Normally you do not pronounce the n in mon, but because ami starts with a vowel sound, you pronounce the n to serve as a link (une liaison) between the two words.
